GA ACDA Summer Conference, Conducting Masterclass

June 20-21, 2019

Spivey Hall

Morrow, Georgia

We are delighted to share that we will again hold a conducting master class at the Georgia ACDA Summer Conference in June. This year’s clinician is Dr. Amanda Quist, Associate Professor and Chair of the Conducting, Organ, and Sacred Music Department at Westminster Choir College. She conducts the Westminster Chapel Choir and Westminster Kantorei, and she teaches graduate and undergraduate conducting. Dr. Quist is the recipient of Westminster Choir College of Rider University’s 2014 Distinguished Teaching Award and the 2018 Mazzotti Award for Women’s Leadership, and she is the Carol F. Spinelli Conducting Fellow.

We will have five spots for Georgia college students (undergraduate and graduate) to participate in the master class. If you are interested in participating in the conducting masterclass, please complete the following application along with one letter of recommendation.

Application Deadline: April 15, 2019

Application Instructions:
1. Complete and submit the following electronic application
2. Submit one letter of recommendation (directly from the reference) to Dr. Jennifer Sengin - jsengin@gsu.edu

A committee will review these applications and notify all applicants by May 1, 2019. Repertoire for the masterclass will be selected from the reading packet and provided to those students in advance of the conference.

Students accepted to participate in the conducting master class will receive complementary registration to the conference.

We are looking forward to having her work with collegiate students from across Georgia!

If you have any questions, please email Dr. Jennifer Sengin - jsengin@gsu.edu.
