GA ACDA Student Conducting
Masterclass at GMEA

We are delighted to share that we will again hold a conducting
master class at the GMEA Conference in January. This year’s clinician is Dr. Pearl
Shangkuan, Professor and Director of Choral Activities at Calvin College in
Grand Rapids, Michigan. At Calvin College, she conducts choirs and teaches
choral conducting and choral literature. Dr. Shangkuan is also the chorus
master (endowed Covenant Chair) of the Grammy-nominated Grand Rapids Symphony.

Four conductors will be selected, along with two alternates. The
master class is open to undergraduate and graduate students. If you are
interested in participating in the conducting masterclass, please complete the
following application along with one letter of recommendation.

A committee will review these applications and notify all
applicants by December 1, 2019. Repertoire for the masterclass will be sent to
participants.

from across Georgia!
